Don’t Be Cheap When It Comes to SEO Copywriting Services for Your Business

Most people in business, even those online, don’t really know what SEO copywriting services are all about.  They think of “copy” as just “filler” with which to stuff a website.  But real copywriting is so much more than that — a basic fact of business life that their most successful competitors have long known already, in all likelihood.

To understand everything that’s involved, let’s start by breaking down the phrase “SEO copywriting services” — and let’s work backwards.  The word “services” implies that there’s more than just one thing involved.  Keep this in mind, for this industry is multifaceted, to say the least.  Now “copywriting” of course refers to the creation of content to go along with promotional material, text that sells.  Copywriting worthy of the name (not to mention the cost!) absolutely must convert, turn readers into customers.  Not every single individual reader, necessarily, but a substantial enough proportion of readers need to be convinced to make a purchase such that the client generates a profit.  Period.

Finally, there is the SEO part of the term.  It refers to copy that will not only get a suitably large number of readers to buy something but also, first of all, land on the top of a search engine’s keyword results page.  After all, the overwhelming vast majority of web surfers do not look past “the fold,” or the point at which they would have to scroll down to see more.  In other words, only the top five results shown — typically, the top three — are considered by most shoppers!  Thus, modern copy needs to rank prominently to begin with, before it gets the opportunity to convince any reader.

Considering all the tasks involved, you simply cannot afford to penny-pinch when it comes to effective SEO copywriting services for your business!  You’d be shooting your chances of success in the proverbial foot if you think about it.  The pennies saved may be at the cost of dollars that could have been earned with much more compelling copy that converts potential customers into repeat customers!  The truth is, good, if not great, copywriting isn’t something anyone with a penchant for signing his or her name can do, willy-nilly.  For one thing, a lot of thought needs to go into creating content that suits a client, depending on his or her line of business, for example.

That means a lot of time needs to be taken, which means more money than some simple pocket change.  There are people who would do just about anything for five dollars, from providing false testimonials on camera to passing off uninspired writing as “copy.”  Don’t be fooled.  As a businessperson, you should know that you get what you pay for.  While good values exist, values are relative — relative to the amount of care involved, the actual expertise of the copywriter engaged, and so many other factors that it’s unlikely for anyone to save substantially without compromising on quality.  When looking for a writer of effective copy, budget no less than a thousand dollars or even two!
